<div>I also commute through there. I was going downhill into Mission Valley this morning when I saw the police on the other side of the road. I didn't know what happened until I got to work.</div>

<div>I ride uphill in the evening on my commute home. There is no good way to negotiate that area. The best solution I have come up with is to wait for a long break in traffic. This usually amounts to me stopping on the right side of the road for a minute or so, after moving well past the beginning of the right turn lane.

<div>I've been commuting on Montezuma since 2001 and that's the best I've come up with. I would name that one of the two or three most dangerous spot for a cyclist in San Diego.</div>
