[SDCBC] Coalition General Membership meeting June 25th, 2008

Please mark your calendars for a special Coalition meeting, Wednesday June
25th. It's our annual general membership meeting, but more than that - we're
having it in conjunction with a public meeting on the Regional Bike Plan
that is being put together right now.

 

Coalition meeting - June 25th 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. Balboa Park Club, Santa Fe
Room. We'll have food, beverages, and information about what the Coalition
is has done over the past year and what we need to do in the future. We'll
be electing our board of directors, and it's a good chance for you to meet
our existing board and find out about opportunities to work with the
Coalition to improve bicycling in San Diego County. If you are interested in
finding out more about being on our board of directors, or about the work we
do, or if you are just hungry, come spend an hour with us. :-) 

 

Regional Bike Plan meeting - June 25th 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Balboa Park Club
ballroom. This will be a public information session about the regional bike
plan - what policies, programs, and facilities will help the whole region be
more bicycle-friendly? We have local bike plans in several communities, and
SANDAG has a network of regional bikeway corridors, but information is
needed about which regional facilities should be improved/connected/created.
And they need feedback about what other sorts of programs should be part of
the plan - public education campaigns? Bike parking? Bike sharing programs?
Free airpumps on every corner? This is your chance to tell the decision
makers exactly what you think needs to be done to make things better for
you. Don't miss this opportunity.
