[SDCBC] Seaworld bike path closed

The path along Sea World is being rebuilt, I assume to deal with the root
problem. Also, the path from Fiesta Island to South Beach has also been
closed. When I contacted the City of SD a few weeks ago, I was told they
would be open again by the end of May. June wouldn't surprise me.

I noticed this week that the bike path along Seaworld Drive is fenced off
and closed.  I was headed east on the frontage road that is north of
Seaworld Drive (Perez Cove Way) from which you can normally get onto the
path.  Since the path was fenced off, what I did instead was ride into the
Seaworld parking lot through the main gates (no one asked any questions - I
just went through the empty VIP lane) and headed east through the lot to the
east entrance out onto Seaworld Drive, and from there continued along
Seaworld Drive.

Anyway... does anyone know why the path is closed and what they're doing?  A
Seaworld parking lot attendant said it should be open in 30 days, but I
couldn't tell if that was authoritative or if he was guessing.
