[SDCBC] Sorrento Valley Advice Please

I have ridden the flat part of the dirt connector on a road bike with 700Cx28 tires and simply walked or carried the bike up or down the steep slope to the parking lot on Scranton.

Another option is Carroll Canyon to Scranton to Vista Sorrento Parkway to Sorrento Valley Bl., then backtracking on  Sorrento Valley Rd.  Also worth considering is Calle Cristobol on the way in and Carroll Canyon on the way home, possibly using the dirt path.
