Dear Gene and Everyone:
Thanks Gene -- my favorite is the portion of the SR-56 bike path that
has been a duck path/cyclist bath for about two years now. It LOOKS
fordable but is most definitely not fordable due to extremely thick and
slippery algae growth. I think a fair number of people reading this
already know how I happen to know this, but I'll cut to the chase right
now -- there I was, flat on my back, moving my feet to check and see if
they were still working, and some goose swam over and started pecking my
helmet. I was extremely lucky -- Kathy and others know of cyclists
who've been injured there. If the problem is really plant growth
clogging the water passage, can't the City of San Diego put in a pump
and drain it down every couple of days?
