[SDCBC] Time commitment? Re: Road 1 in June

I think an on-line Road 1 course is a very interesting idea, especially
considering the availability of more and more video today. Perhaps there
could be an introductory on-line course and test, followed by a riding
session (for which passing the intro test is required), then a second
course, followed by an on-road test and in-person test.

But I don't know of anyone who has developed an on-line course, or a course
with supplementary on-line material that allows for less in-class time.

Having said that, the classroom discussions tend to be pretty valuable, and
the opportunities for those would be limited if most of the material is
covered on-line rather than in-class.
