Dear SDCBCers:
Good evening. Those with access to large or specialty libraries might
want to go there and see if they've gotten their June 2008 issue of
"Mechanical Engineering" yet. There's a short article (page 48 and 49)
titled "Origami Cycle" about the Bike Friday Tikit commuter bike.
"Mechanical Engineering" is the monthly of the American Society of
Mechanical Engineers, so they don't shy away from sentences like "The
Tikit's light weight and rapid folding ability target the biggest
problem with integrating bicycles into intermodal transportatiuon: what
to do with the bike when you have to transfer onto a bus, train or
airplane." That's the lead sentence of the third paragraph.
	I chekced www.mechanicalengineering.org -- they're currently showing
the May issue on the web site there.
