Good point.  It might have been more accurate for Mark to say, "The same
people who won't get on a bicycle also generally won't get on a motorcycle".

However, the fears in both cases are arguably irrational, and some who
overcome one set of irrational fears do not overcome the other.  So there
are motorcyclists who would never ride a bicycle in traffic (because they
believe being "as fast as cars" makes them reasonably safe), and bicyclists
who would never ride a motorcycle in traffic (perhaps because they believe
their relatively slow speed keeps them reasonably safe).

But it's probably accurate to say that the vast majority have not overcome
either fear, and refuse to ride motorcycles or bicycles in traffic primarily
for that reason.
