[SDCBC] Bicycles and insurance

That is precisely my point. I certainly am filing against the drivers insurance, and my health insurance will provide coverage. The question is, what if the driver doesn't have insurance ( and I am told that 40% of drivers do not) or you don't have health insurance ( 50% of Californians do not), then the same exclusion may also be applied to uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage.  I know for a fact that Wawanesa excludes bicycles, so riders with other insurance may want to check their policy.  Don't think I would want to shell out the $850 ambulance ride out of pocket.
