It may be "expensive" to fix it but it needs fixing so I say: Fix it.  

In the big picture, $250K is peanuts, I wonder how much the recent work on 
the I-5/805 Merge cost...  And all so the developers can build more houses in 
North County...

As cyclists, we should not be afraid to spend to bring the facilities up to 
standard,  we need to think we have a place and money spent on cycling 
facilities is money well spent.
