Impatient guy is just reminding you that he is fast, you are slow,
and you're impeding his progress. In his opinion, if there is any
other place you could ride then it is rude of you to insist on riding
in a place you know will slow other people down. He should have said
"How Rude!" but instead has been trained by our society that slow
people belong on the sidewalk, slow people on bikes belong in another
place, and the rest of the road belongs rightfully to car
drivers (truck drivers are permitted grudgingly because after all a
guy needs to get his food and beer from somewhere). Next time if you
feel like being equivalently helpful to the passing motorist, yell
"Get a Motorcycle"!

Narrow vehicles are able to pass bicycles in just about any
circumstance. It's those ridiculous wide vehicles that are the real
problem, not the slow bicyclists/equestrians/backhoe drivers.
