Not only are we looking into the first, but the addition is already being discussed in the Traffic Control Permits Section.

Yeah, those signs are poorly worded. In some spots (eg. current Genesee widening project) there is a companion orange "share the road" sign in place some meters after the bike lane closed sign. I would think if they are going to put the first one up, they should be required to put the second one up. Or, just omit the first one. Try submitting a streets division service request at:
http://apps.sandiego.gov/streetdiv/
(or maybe even call the number).

Currently on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. eastward before Antigua in Tierrasanta they have placed a sign in the bike lane that says "Bike Lane Closed". The road then narrows with K-rails to one car width lane. I must take the lane, which I do. Yesterday, I had a car roll down his window and yell at me to get on the sidewalk. The "Bike lane Closed" sign is not proper! It should be something like "No Bike Lane, Share The Road" with the picture of a bicyclist. Just what would you think if you saw a "Bike Lane Closed" sign if you were not a bicyclist. Can anything be done to remedy this problem?
