[SDCBC] "Bike Lane Closed" sign

I agree with Mike and Gary.  There is actually a second issue here and that is placing the sign in the bike lane itself, thus forcing the bicyclist out into the traffic in order to ride around it.  There should be a better way to notify motorists and bicyclists that that the bike lane is ending.  I've thought about putting the sign on the sidewalk, but this inconveniences pedestrians, especially those in wheel chairs, so that's not any better.

I've previously commented on how motorists don't understand the "Bike
ane Closed" sign. You're right that better wording with a picture would
elp.
Kathy: How responsive is the City O' San Diego to issues like this? One
scale of 1 to 10, say. With 1 being "Byzantine nightmare of Kafkaesque
roportions," and 10 being "They fixed it before I even called them."

Lane Closed”. The road then narrows with K-rails to one car width
lane. I must take the lane, which I do. Yesterday, I had a car roll
down his window and yell at me to get on the sidewalk. The “Bike lane
Closed” sign is not proper! It should be something like “No Bike Lane,
Share The Road” with the picture of a bicyclist. Just what would you
think if you saw a “Bike Lane Closed” sign if you were not a bicyclist.
Can anything be done to remedy this problem?
