The Coalition has made some efforts along these lines; was it two or
three years ago we had bill boards posted with the SRSRSR per CVC message?
With the limited resources and bike-focus of the SDCBC it's unlikely
that a broad bikes belong message effort would be successful - find
us a good PR firm?
But, if our message of traffic acceptance was coupled with general
concerns and support for travel mode choice and traffic safety -
"Stop the Killing!" "Safe Routes to School" "MADD" "Roads are for
people too" stuff - and other interests got involved like Walk San
Diego, parents, emergency room operators enraged by 40,000 deaths
annually, police willing/desiring to return law and order to traffic,
educators?, health professionals concerned with obesity,
environmentalists about global warming/petro-pollution, etc. etc.
.... we could spark a traffic culture change.
