[SDCBC] Ticketed in Re: Pulled over for "taking the lane"

Even though Mary wasn't cited, and even if Chris Z. prevails in court,
they both endured "summary punishment" of being delayed and wasting
their their time merely by (apparently) cycling legally, safely, and in
accordance with CVC and CA's own DMV guide.  This is most upsetting.

How can we advocate/educate law enforcement so this vile cancer doesn't
spread?  Letter writing campaign?  Legal, vehicular-cycling demonstration
with notification to media and law enforcement of the event?

Complacency only signals acquiescence.

Perhaps a friendly chat with law enforcement to clarify their position
on this issue?  Follow up "letter of understanding?"  I'd carry it with me.

SDCBC gurus: what is the most effective advocacy approach here?
