Subject: Enthusiasts Needed for Rideshare Week Media Event

 

Hi all,

 

We are having a media event this Friday and I've just received the call for
walking and biking enthusiasts to show up willing and able to speak about
why they walk or bike to work. This will be a fairly high profile event with
a San Diego councilmember onsite to present a proclamation at the press
conference. That said, opportunities to provide actual comment may be quite
brief.

If you know of anyone who walks or bikes to work that would be willing to
show up and isn't directly "attached" in some way, as we are, to involved
agencies or organizations, please direct them my way. They would need to be
available from about noon to 12:30 on Friday the 28th. The actual event will
be from 11:30 to 1:00 pm with carsharing and vanpool vehicles onsite, tables
with information, and wirelessly connected computers allowing participants
to complete a commuter survey. The first 100 people who fill out a survey
will "win" a $5 coffee card (for Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, I believe).

If you don't know of anyone who wishes to attend--PASS THIS ON! And, by all
means, feel free to show up just to show support.
