[SDCBC] Advice on shipping a bike?

Another consideration is when you MUST have the bicycle arrive.

A cyclist who I worked with this year flew to France to do Paris Breast
Paris this past summer. The event started and ended before the bike arrived.

When the bike accompanies the cyclist via the same airline, there is a
higher probability that it will arrive when needed.

I have used UPS and Fed-Ex in the past. In every case, the bike came
through unscathed. I have found that Fed-Ex can be considerably cheaper.
