We've had requests from many participants of Pedal to the Park for more
ride opportunities, prior to PTP Stage 3 in May 08.
Expanding the PTP box - call it next in the "Pedal for All" series. We
are doing more of the same thing - sharing recreational and social
benefits of cycling for ALL - in a more casual format. These will be
shorter in duration and toned down in structure (no advance
registration or cost), to keep the arrangements relatively easy for
all. In keeping with the PTP activity model, we will combine a cycling
and entertainment experience. We will guide and track all participants
during the outing, start to finish.
Pedal to the Cove
This one should be a real treat. The cycling will be 20 miles (in two
10 mile parts), with appropriate bike-buddy supervision and safeguards.
The event is the 14th Annual San Diego Triathlon Challenge put on by
the world famous and SD based Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF).
Witnessing the energy, courage, and triumph of these athletes will
provide inspirational delight, and unforgettable moments - for all on
the Pedal to the Cove ride, Sunday 28 Oct 07.
The San Diego Triathlon Challenge (SDTC) is a half-Ironman distance
event that will change your life! It features world-class challenged
athletes, professional triathletes, celebrities and other able-bodied
participants on one of the most breathtaking courses in the country.
This event is fun for the whole family and serves as a primary
fundraiser for the Challenged Athletes Foundation. Over the past
thirteen years, this event has helped raise over $11 million to support
thousands of challenged athletes. More event information at
