There will be a potential small advantage in this regard with reverse
angle parking. Most vehicles exhibit a greater distance from the
rear wheel to the rear bumper than from the front wheel to the front
bumper (examination of the specs of a Toyota Tundra Longbed bears
this out). In cases where parking is accomplished by placing the
rear tire against the curb, the vehicle will not "stick out" so far
into the street. This may result in a disadvantage to pedestrians in
cases where the sidewalk is adjacent to the curb.
