Why can't we a reduced construction zone speed limit and "bike lane closed /
share the road" signage during resurfacing?

Subject: [SDCBC] Linda Vista Bike Lane Hazard

Just a warning that the surface of the bike lane on Linda Vista from Ulric
to Genesee has been stripped and is potentially hazardous to those with
skinny road tires. I have 23's on my bike and it was quite difficult to ride
in the lane. I had to move into the traffic lane on my commute, which made
some 4-wheelers upset, but it seemed a lot safer than trying to ride in the
ruts of the stripped bike lane surface.

Does anyone know if this is a re-surfacing project or something else?

  Thanks...
  Kevin R
