I realize that is something to watch.  Once I am past the "bump",  I slow and 
carefully watch the cars that might turn in front of me.   I have never had 
any one pull out but I am prepared if they do.   In general it is an area which 
requires a lot of attention.  Just as I refuse to ride in the door zone, I 
refuse to ride in the Bike Lane when I see motorists illegally crossing the bike 
lane.   My thinking is that I do not want to trust that someone willing to 
break the law will see me.
