If you really need a 25 watt system, then these lights may not be for you,
but I will refer you to the definitive Web site on the matter for more
information before you decide. See Peter White Cycles at

Stephan: I don't know about the most modern hub units and lights but in the
past the advantage of a battery system was the brightness. I find a 25 watt
system is bright enough that I can see far enough ahead to ride at 25mph and
still stop or otherwise avoid an unforseen obsticle. It is also quite
visible to other vehicle operators.
My concern is not the drag, though I think one would notice the drag of a
generator capable of powering a 25watt system.
