[SDCBC] tabulating the results so far on SVR Bridge/Undercrossing question

Is there any chance whether this project gets done will impact whether the
rest of the path is "finished" or not?

If so, I think it would be useful to also poll this community in terms of
which of either:

a) "finishing" the existing path per Wade's points (building overcrossings
at the other intersections, like Black Mountain Road, and "finishing" the
connections at El Camino Real), or

b) extending the path over/under I-5

should be a significantly higher priority.

The more I think about it, the more I agree with Wade. All this extension
can do is take you to a point on Sorrento Valley Road which is not a
destination in itself. From that point, any destination can only be reached
by going through points which are already relatively easy and practical to
reach by bicycle via surface streets. Measured by time or mileage, this
extension would not save you much, if anything.

A true bike highway from El Camino Real to I-15, with over/under crossings
at all the intersections, would be quite the signature project.
