August 20, 2007 - San Diego - The Subaru Urban Assault Race returns to San
Diego on September 23. This one-of-a-kind urban bike extravaganza which
combines mental and physical challenges visits nine other US cities this
year: Austin, Dallas, Denver, Boulder Fort Collins, Los Angeles, Madison and
Joplin, MO. San Diego was selected because it's a bike-friendly cycling
paradise where mountains meet ocean.

Here's how it works: Two-person teams race their bikes to checkpoints at
which they must complete obstacles and challenges before riding to the next
checkpoint . This year's San Diego checkpoints are Trek Store La Mesa,
Chipotle La Mesa, Frog's Fitness, Harry Griffin Park and the Prescott
Promenade.
