A sad reminder about dooring.

From the April 17 SD U-T:

BICYCLIST HIT BY DOOR, THEN RUN OVER BY SUV
PACIFIC BEACH: A 66-year-old bicyclists suffered major injuries
yesterday when he was knocked off his bike by an opening SUV door,
then run over by another SUV, police said.
The victim, Luis Lopez Farias, was hospitalized with an open fracture
to his thigh, other broken bones, and head and internal injuries.
San Diego Police said the man was riding east on Ganet Avenue about
5:50 p.m. when someone in a Ford Escape parked on the right shoulder
opened a door, hitting him. He was knocked to the pavement and run
over by a Chevrolet Suburban.
