Thanks -- it's a beautiful idea, but I don't want to anger others more 
than necessary. I'm already on the adverse side with this driver because 
the first time I came across them they freaked when I wrote down the 
plate number, then the man in the family decided it would be better at 
the intersection to yell at me than to make a right turn with all the 
space I'd left them (and I did leave adequate right turning room in that 
instance).

The second time, I think I completely lost any chance at rapport by 
starting the conversation in Spanish. In San Diego you'd think it's a 
50/50 proposition, but so far I've been batting .133, and it just 
doesn't help any when Japanese is required and the only phrase you can 
think of, and immediately blurt, translates as "death by electricity."
