[SDCBC] Repeat offender: Parking in the bike lane.

This ebay ad exemplifies one of the biggest problems with bike lanes.
Note the language used here: "have you ever had to move out of the
bike lane into traffic" .

The implication is that while you're in the bike lane you're not in
traffic. A cyclist with that state of mind while riding in a bike
lane is the cyclist who is more prone to be being unprepared for,
well, being in traffic while riding in a bike lane.

Most traffic hazards to a cyclist come from cross traffic (right and
left hooks and crosses), not from same-direction traffic.

Tempting as it may be, do not let yourself fall into the trap of
thinking you're not in traffic just because you're riding in a bike
lane!

Serge (I am traffic)
