I tend to agree with this... up to the point where that same
government policies also encourage the design of freeway like surface
streets** with very high speed motor traffic, and then further
encourages the use of motor vehicles by supplementing the production of fuel.
Government policy needs to also recognize the needs of lower speed
traffic and pedestrians.
**those roads similar to the ones we discussed earlier, such as the
wide sweeping multi-laned intersections that appear in various places
around town.
