Progress on SR 125 in Sunnyside:
While Quarry Road is not yet open, the connection between Sweetwater Road
and Worthington Street has been restored for automobiles, bicyclists,
pedestrians and others. The Sweetwater River Trail, which was severed by SR
125, has been reconnected. Or, if you are on mountain bike and are willing
to go to the top of the mountain, you can go north on Conduit Road and
follow some newly constructed switchbacks underneath SR 125.

Bike limits on Sprinter:

on the Sprinter. It's not on the website yet, but will officially be
enforced July 1.
Coalition Annual General Membership meeting: 06.25.08, 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Join us at Balboa Park Club, Santa Fe Room, to review what the Coalition has
done over the past year and what it plans to do this year. We'll also elect
our board of directors. It's a good chance to meet the existing board and
discover opportunities to improve bicycling in San Diego County. We'll bring
food and beverages.
Regional Bike Plan meeting: 06.25.08, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (That's right,
directly following our coalition meeting!)
Join a public information session about the regional bike plan at Balboa
Park Club in the ballroom. What policies, programs, and facilities will help
the whole region be more bicycle-friendly? Planners need Information about
which regional facilities should be improved/connected/created. And feedback
on what other sorts of programs should be part of the plan - public
education campaigns? Bike parking? Bike sharing programs? Free airpumps on
every corner? This is your chance to tell the decision makers exactly what
you think needs to be done to make things better for you.
